The company, briefly

Founded
2016, in a converted telephone exchange. Still the same building.
Headquarters
Rotterdam, with an acoustics room in the basement.

38, of whom 14 are engineers and 3 do nothing but repairs.

What we have shipped

  1. 2016

    The first pair

    Arcus 100 shipped to 400 people who had pre-ordered on a mailing list of 600. Sold out, never restocked, and still repaired.

  2. 2019

    The acoustics room

    We stopped renting measurement time and built our own chamber. Every frequency plot published since has been measured in it.

  3. 2022

    Parts for everyone

    Drivers, earpads, cables and hinges opened to the public at cost plus postage — including for products discontinued years earlier.

  4. 2024

    The 900 series

    A four-year rebuild of the flagship around a driver we could actually keep making. Same chassis as the 700 so old cases still fit.

We publish the raw measurement, not just the plot. A graph you cannot re-scale is decoration.

What we can send you

There is no download bundle on this page on purpose — a press kit that sits on a CDN goes stale and gets used two products later. Write to us and you get the current set the same day.

Product photography

Every product on white and in situ, 4000px, sRGB, PNG and JPEG. Provided on request — we would rather send the current set than have an old one cached somewhere.

Measurement data

Frequency response, distortion and impedance plots for anything in the range, as CSV alongside the plotted PNG. We publish the raw data because a plot you cannot re-scale is decoration.

Wordmark and logotype

SVG and EPS, plus the clear-space rules. Please do not recolour it; there is a mono version for when you need one.

Founder and workshop portraits

Recent, and captioned with who is who so nobody gets misattributed.

Review policy

Review units
Sent on loan for four to eight weeks, to publications and to independent reviewers with no minimum audience. Return postage is ours.
No conditions
We do not ask to see the copy, we do not ask for a score, and we have never asked for a review to be changed. Nothing is contingent on the verdict.
Corrections
If we think something is factually wrong we will write to you with the measurement, once. What you do with it is yours.
Embargoes
Rarely, and only around a launch date. When there is one it is stated in the first email, never applied retroactively.
